Res Publica is civiliation building award winning card game where players represent the will of the people. It is a trading game with five ancient civilisations constructing cities and erecting prestigious monuments. Lead the people to higher power and technology.

As active player you have to make a trading offer to the others.To build a city a player needs to collect five of the same nation cards and for a monument five of the same technology cards. Cities allow you to take more of the cards in your turn and with monuments you gain the victory points at the end of the game. The players make points with the cities and monuments. The one who has the most at the end of the game wins. The monks allow you to get better trading results and the libraries allow you to build something with only 4 of the identical cards. You may only trade people and technology cards.
In the beginning each player gets 4 People cards.
Each turn has 3 phases:
2. PLAY SETS
3. DRAW CARDS
END OF THE GAME
Once the technology deck is played out, every player gets one more turn to trade and play sets. After that, each player gets one more opportunity to lay down cards and claim any remaining cities or monuments.
Beside points for cities and monuments everybody gains plus 1 point for each pair left in hand.
